This short film had a large number of sets that needed to be constructed in a short period of time. I worked closely with the production manager and the art director to build, paint, wallpaper, finish, and dress the sets.
At Display Arts I helped to craft winter themed storefront displays for professional clients. I had the opportunity to hone my skills under the supervision of highly experienced artisans. I worked with new materials I had never encountered before and helped put together some really professional-looking pieces.
In this short film set in a dream world, I dressed sets and created masks and costumes for the characters.
As the art director of this short film I gathered and made props, dressed the sets, and worked with the cinematographer and lighting director to make the film look as good as possible.
According to legend, when Zeus saw the Atlanteans immoral ways he grew angry and brought great waves to sink the island of Atlantis. In this project combining miniature-building and underwater cinematography, we created a miniature from styrofoam, shells, stone, paper and other matierials and painted it in a lifelike way before sinking it to the bottom of our water tank.
